Congratulations to Professor Youssef Bennis

Congratulations to Professor Youssef Bennis, who was awarded the prize “Journées de l'Avenir” on Friday November 10, 2023 during the basketball match “Lille Métropole Basket / Etoile Angers Basket” for his project on the pharmacological blockade of an inflammatory protein in cardiovascular calcifications.
Since 2006, the National Basketball League has been working alongside the Fondation de l'Avenir to advance medical research. Their common objective is to better inform and raise awareness among the public and top-level sportsmen and women about cardiovascular pathologies, the 2nd leading cause of death in France. The entire MP3CV laboratory team would like to thank the spectators, fans, partners, clubs and the National Basketball League for the donations made during the operation, as well as the Fondation De L'avenir for having chosen to support this research project led by the MP3CV laboratory thanks to the support of the Hauts-de-France region and the University of Picardie Jules Verne within the FHU CARNAVAL (CArdiac Research Network on Aortic VAlve and heart faiLure). We are particularly grateful to Mrs Marion Lelouvier, president of the board of the Fondation de l'Avenir, Mathieu Desvalois, chief of staff to the LNB president and Mr Jean Jacquin, head of events for ELITE matches, for organising this event.
